How do we bring you're unique cartoon logo to life? It's easy! We just follow our graphic design process (we've used our own as an example) which takes a logo from its birth as a small thumbnail idea, to the fully fledged logo you see above and on our business cards,
Whether you're a sporting club, a corner store or someone much larger, we offer high quality, affordable cartoon logo designs. We will work with you from starting concept to finished product to ensure you receive the cartoon logo you need. (each round of the design proicess is followed by up to 5 review stages, to ensure you get exactly what you need) You get what you pay for. Be careful of anyone offering Budget or Cheap logos, at best these will be clipart images, and at worst they will be stolen from another company. Sure, cheap might sound good, right until after that same logo is in wide distribution and lawyers from Drain-M-Dry knock on the door with a cease and desist notice on behalf of the original owner who is now seeking substantial punitive dmages. Which brings us to the next point - Copyright Ownership. Make sure this is included. If it's not, walk away. (Yes, if you order from us, we will give full transfer of copyright, though we do ask that we may use the image as part of our portfolio) the above example of logo theft is, unfortunately, more common than you may expect. "Unlimited revisions" is another thing that many companies might promise to offer. But how many is unlimited? 10, 100, 1000, more? It's marketing hype, thats what it is. Unlimited is, well, unlimited right? So for fun, ask one of these companies to give you the initial sketch in a 100,000 different pantone colour combinations (and 100,000 isn't even close to unlimited is it?) The truth is that, unless you paying an hourly rate, nobody will give you unlimited revisions. Read the fine print, a company that promises this will likely cancel the job after the third revision and refund only a portion of your money. And let's face it, if they can't get what you're after by the third revision, perhaps they weren';t the right company to begin with. And well, we could go on and on about the many other myths out there, what where saying is go with someone who is upfront about what they offer, don't believe anything that sounds like hype and that the logo design company you go with should be appropriate to your business level. Here at Heckmaker design we specialise in working with small to medium enterprises. We offer an affordable service, and we don't cut corners, after all, you want your business to grow and last decades, so why shouldn't the logo last as long?

Step 1 - Tell us what you want. Let's say it's a chicken, giving the thumbs up... But, please, give us as much detail as you can. If you want the chicken to be purple and riding a silver unicorn, well, tell us. Because this first stage is really about helping you decide what you need. We'll produce a variety of pencil sketches based on the information you give us. These will be anything from smaller, quick thumbnails to more detailed larger pieces. (It really does depend on how much information you included in that initial email, but is usually anywhere from 3-15 images per review round) This step is about developing the shape, pose and overall look of the Logo. You will receive these sketches in a reply email and have the chance to give feedback, so that we know exactly what you need, and thats when we move to the next step..
Step 2 - With your comments from the previous step guiding us, we will produce a more detailed, final sketch . This image then becomes the basis for the final logo. This is still an early stage, and there are still many details to be added, (all the inking, text and finer detail will be added once the image has been opened in Photoshop or Illustrator) There will again be the chance for you to offer feedback, then . . . .
Step 3 - The next step is the one we love: here we make the sketch come to life! We use Photoshop to clean up the sketch and produce clean, solid linework. This Linework is then converted to a Vector image format in Illustrator. We then apply 'flat' colours to the image. You don't have to pick just one set of colours, we can provide a set of 'flat' coloured images so that you can choose whatever colours you want. You will the recieve another email with both the linework and a few coloured images. When you have made your final decision on colouring, we will then move on to the next step.
Step 4 - Where we make the image 'Pop'. With the colours decided we will begin to add shading, depth and highlights. It's also where we usually add text and any other final details. We will also make any final, small, changes you request, for intance you may wish to change the fonts. Please note, there may be further charges for major revisions requested at this stage (see Our Packages for more information).
Step 5 - We deliver your finished logo to you. The final Cartoon logo will now be delivered to you in the File formats you need.
We will also keep a backup of these for you, just in case. The image and it's copyright are now completely yours! The only right we retain is the right to display it as part of our portfolio.
